Day 2 : ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE

Breakfast at Hotel.
Departure on the road to Antsirabe in order to discover the rural areas of the central high plateaus. This trip also allows the visitor to meet the friendly inhabitants of the region.
Halt at Ambatolampy at 70 Km from the capital: spontaneous stop at a small steel smelter for ustensils and aluminum products .
Continuation towards Antsirabe.
On arrival : visit of artisans who makes miniature objects, artwork from cow (zebu) horn as well as artisans of objects made from a variety of materials such as stone.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel « Les chambres du voyageur ».
Day 3 : ANTSIRABE – FIANARANTSOA 240Km / 6h

Departure to Fianarantsoa always on the high plateaus of the country.
Visit to Ambositra : at 90 km from Antsirabe, capital of the Malagasy artisanry, where artisans works with talent on precious wood such as palissandre, rose and ebene, other woodwork as well as sculpture.
Visit of artisan markets.
Continuation towards Fianarantsoa.

Day 4 : FIANARANTSOA – MANAKARA

Option : Transfer at railway station and departure by train to Manakara, the unique train micheline of Madagascar.
The train makes a dozen stops before reaching Manakara allowing the visitor to stop at villages, meet, discover and exchange with the population.
The visitor will discover the magnificent landscapes namely the hills covered with tropical forests (pallisandre, bamboo, ravinala) and the various villages of the famous rail route FCE (Fianarantsoa – Côte Est).

Day 5 : MANAKARA 
Breakfast at hotel.
Discovery of Canal des Pangalanes.
Pirogue trip across the Canal des Pangalanes which is comprised of a natural river and an artificial lake. The visitor will discover a fishing village, pirogues transporting various merchandise as well as plantations of vanilla.
Seafood lunch as per seasonal availability.
Return by vehicle in the afternoon to the hotel.

Jour 6 : MANAKARA – RANOMAFANA 210Km / 4h
Visit of National Ranomafana Park.
A park of 40 000 Ha which includes a large biodiversity of animal and plant species (lemur, gold Hapalemur, palm trees, orchids bamboos and incandescent), which attract attention from scientists the world over. Treks are organised during the day as well as the night in order to discover the animals as well as the fauna and flora.

Day 7 : RANOMAFANA – ANDRINGITRA 170h / 4h

Departure for Andringitra.
Visit of Fianarantsoa town, and the Pierrot Men laboratory that has been awarded numerous prices in the domain of photography (Leica Mothers Jones of San Francisco en 1995 ) where he exposes his works in Fianarantsoa where he lives.
Ambalavao located sixty kilometres south of Fianarantsoa, and visit of a workshop of the famous paper « Antaimoro » which is a paper obtained from a base of pulp from a tree « Avoha », manufacture of tissus of savage silk as well as refined silk.
In the afternoon, visit of a private park Anja allowing visit of the lemur (Lemur Catta) and the endemic plants and medecine of the region.
Continuation towards Andringitra.

Day 8 : ANDRINGITRA 
Breakfast at hotel.
Day trip to discover the National Park of Andringitra, world heritage site of UNESCO.
The second highest summit of the island is located in this park : Pic Boby at 2658 m altitude.
Explore the magnificent landscapes as well as the plateaus, valleys, falls, reminding of lunar landscapes.
The park remains on a crystalline rock base composed of chalk and granite. A large biodiversity of ecosystem comprising rainforests at low altitude to prairies in the mountains : up to 20 species of mammals and 62 species of birds. The plains are equally rich in land orchids.

Day 9 : ANDRINGITRA – RANOHIRA

Continuation of the legendary RN7 the « south road » for Ranohira.

Day 10 : RANOHIRA

Visit of National Park of Isalo.
An immense park of massive granite dating back to the Jurassic era which spreads across almost 8540 ha. The structures are asymmetric and the view is panoramic. The landscapes are composed of deep canyons, natural pools, caves, and rivers. The lemurs that habit the park are another reason of the visit.
Excursion and trekking to be decided on site depending on the appreciation of the participants.

Day 11 : RANOHIRA – TULEAR – ANAKAO 240Km / 5h

Departure for Anakao.
At thirty km south of Isalo Park, lies the Ilakaka river were individuals mine for precious stones.
One can also observe the baobabs and the Mahafaly tombs.
Passing through Sakaraha which is another town of sapphires.
On arrival in the southern capital « Tuléar » boarding a speedboat to continue to Anakao.

Day 12 : ANAKAO

Free day at the village of Vezo fishermen.
Anakao, Nosy Ve and its paradise beaches welcome you for a day of relaxation.
Proposition : boat trip or by canoe to the neighbouring islands : ( Nosy ve, Nosy Satrana, underwater diving), discover the hump backed whales as per the season, a large variety of marine life such as starfish, stingrays, guitar fish, urchins and many others.
